Medication Take-Back Pilot Project
Don't flush old medicines
The Colorado Medication Take-Back Project is a network of secure boxes for the collection of unused and unwanted household medications. The collection boxes can be found at 10 locations throughout the Denver area and in Summit County.

When over-the-counter or prescription medications are no longer needed, they should be removed from the home. Medication disposal should be done in a manner that minimizes the chance of misuse and also protects the environment. Flushing medications down the toilet or throwing them in the trash can cause pollution of lakes, streams and water supplies.
