We are reducing emissions from Town vehicles by increasing our inventory of hybrid vehicles. Each vehicle saves more than $2,000 a year in fuel and reduces the Town’s greenhouse gas emissions by more than 8,000 pounds per year. The Town also has increased its use of E-85 ethanol fuel.

Free bus service
Castle Rock makes traveling the Town easier by providing a free bus service, which reduces the number of cars on the roads.

Reducing vehicle wait times
Traffic lights around Town have been timed to reduce vehicle wait times at intersections. Reducing idle times saves gas money and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
