On December 17, 2008, Staff made an addendum to the RFP, offcially extending the deadline to January 7, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.  

The Town of Castle Rock is accepting proposals until 5:00 P.M. local time, December 29, 2008 for the purchase/trade of a 2.78 acre parcel of Town owned vacant land located on the south side of Allen Street and east of Allen Way in Metzler Ranch Subdivision Filing 3 in the Town of Castle Rock. (The parcel also fronts onto Founders Parkway)

The legal description is: Tract A Metzler Ranch Filing 3

This property is zoned PD, Open Space, as delineated on the Final Plat for Metzler Ranch Filing 3. Interested parties are to make their proposal contingent upon rezoning to a commercial use. This request for proposal can be obtained from the Town’s website (home page) at crgov.com under RFP’s (Request for Proposals) and also at the Parks and Recreation Department, 2301 N. Woodlands Blvd., Castle Rock, Colorado.

No verbal, telegraphic, electronic, facsimile, or telephonic proposals or modifications will be considered unless specified. Proposals must bear original signatures and figures. Proposals received after the scheduled Submittal Deadline will be returned unopened. Proposals will not be opened publicly.

Proposals shall include:

· All submitted proposals shall include the following for consideration:

· Bid amount for the purchase of the real property described above.

· Proposed use of the property.

· Proposed timeline for achieving the proposed use.

· Identify any and all contingencies.

· Applicant’s name, address and contact information.

Evaluation of Proposals:

The Town evaluation of proposals will give strong consideration to the following:

· Proposed use and consistency with Town goals.

· Purchase amount of the property

· Value of any alternative consideration or property of comparable value.

· Financial ability to accomplish the project.

· Estimated time to complete the transaction.

 

A team of Town staff will review submittals and make a recommendation to Town Council. This team upon a preliminary selection of the most advantageous proposal may elect to interview the person(s) submitting the proposal in an effort to clarify and confirm the interest and plans.

The Town of Castle Rock reserves the following rights:

· To reject any or all proposals as in its sole judgment may be deemed to be in the Town’s best interest.

· The right to waive any minor irregularity or technicality.

· The right to negotiate with the top proposal as deemed by the Town in its sole judgment, which may or may not include the proposal with the highest purchase price.

· The right to negotiate with other proposals if appropriate and without seeking additional proposals.

All proposed uses must follow zoning regulations contingent upon the rezoning to commercial use.

Red Hawk Ridge is an upscale, championship public course located in the Town of Castle Rock.  The Jim Engh design is carved out of the natural landscape and includes significant elevation changes throughout its 18 holes.  The course hosts over 38,000 rounds a year and is known for its challenging layout, beautiful views and exceptional customer service.

 

The Town of Castle Rock is accepting proposals until 5:00 P.M. local time, January 12th for the lease of 80 golf carts, 4 marshal carts, 2 beverage carts, 1 range picker and 1 maintenance utility vehicle for Red Hawk Ridge Golf Course.

 

One original Proposal shall be delivered and addressed to:
