Unwind Downtown after 5 p.m. with live music and more

Tusk-219x219

Had a long week at work? Looking for ways to relax and unwind? Spend time Downtown this season with the Town’s Downtown After 5 event series.

On select Fridays this summer, Downtown Castle Rock will come alive. Enjoy live music, craft beer, cocktails and themed food trucks. Head to Festival Park after work, and enjoy the festivities until 9 p.m. Live music begins at 5:30 p.m. The upcoming event dates are:

  • June 22 – Tusk: The ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute. No wigs, no backing tracks, no gimmicks, just five musicians recreating the music of Fleetwood Mac to perfection with note-for-note renditions that no other Fleetwood Mac tribute on the touring scene today can come close to duplicating.

Plus, you won’t want to miss Castle Rock’s own Castle View High School Marching Band joining Tusk for an encore performance of the hit songs “Tusk” and “Don’t Stop.”

  • Aug. 24 – David Gerald: Blues and Crawfish Boil Night. Gerald, whose dynamic, blues-infused rock and soul hybrid has been captivating audiences across the country for over a decade, grew up to the sounds of the blues, R&B and rock in his hometown, Detroit. He started playing guitar at 14, influenced by Prince and ’80s rock guitarists.

What goes better with the blues than crawfish? While there will be several hundred pounds of crawfish, get there early; the seafood is expected to sell out quickly.
