Your Town works hard every day to make sure Castle Rock remains a great place to live. Toward that end, several major goals were accomplished in 2017, including:• Opening the reimagined Festival Park• Restoring pavement on Coachline Road and Emerald Drive and updating the Town’s 20-year transportation plan• Completing a community survey to receive additional feedback on how the Town can continuously improve its services to the communityWhile looking forward to another set of goals for 2018, the Town is also taking time to reflect on its accomplishments from 2017 through an annual publication, Report to the Community – Year-end 2017. The report is available online at CRgov.com/majorprojects, and a paper copy soon will be mailed to each Castle Rock address.Additionally, the Town has produced a short video highlighting 2017 accomplishments and 2018 goals, which is also available at the above webpage. The Town invites residents to view the information and share in the celebration of the community’s collective successes.Looking forward into this year, major projects on the horizon include:• Opening Fire Station 152 in Crystal Valley• Improving the intersections of Founders Parkway and Allen Way and Founders Parkway and Crowfoot Valley Road, and reconstructing Meadows Parkway between U.S. Highway 85 and Prairie Hawk Drive• Beginning to receive WISE water and continuing other vital long-term water projects• Constructing the Town’s next neighborhood park in The Meadows, near Aspen View Academy, and extending East Plum Creek Trail south 2 miles to Crystal Valley Parkway• Investing $3 million in Arapahoe Community College’s Collaboration Campus project, which will bring further higher education opportunities to Castle Rock• Implementing the 2017 Town Charter change for election of an at-large Mayor in 2018Quarterly updates on how the Town is progressing on these and other projects will be posted at CRgov.com/majorprojects, as well as on the Town’s official Facebook page @CRgov.Get Town news straight to your inbox.
