As Downtown transforms this summer, the Town of Castle Rock is also working to ensure smooth access.
Specifically, big changes are coming to Festival Park. As the park becomes a new urban center for the Downtown core, Second Street has been closed to through traffic. As a result, the intersection of Third and Perry streets will also be transformed – into a roundabout.
See what the Town has planned for this intersection during two open houses on Monday, April 10. The first is from 9 to 10:30 a.m., and the second is from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Both will be at Fire Headquarters, 300 Perry St., and information will be the same.
Learn about the roundabout’s unique design, and get a first look at proposed intersection landscaping and center artwork. Overall, the Town intends to gain parking spaces for Downtown, and every effort will be made to minimize disruption to businesses and the traveling public. To maintain safety throughout the project, some night work and lane closures may be necessary.
Construction is expected to begin by late June and wrap up in August. Get more information at CRgov.com/PerryRoundabout.
