In November 2015, Castle Rock voters decided to change the municipal election from April of even-numbered years to November of even-numbered years. Council terms are staggered, so Districts 1, 2, 4 and 6 are elected to four-year terms this year, and Districts 3, 5 and 7 will be elected to four-year terms in 2018.
This election will occur by mail along with the general election. Ballots are set to be mailed in mid-October, and the election will be coordinated by Douglas County. Those elected will be sworn in on Dec. 6.
