Please join us on for a viewing of a film about the Colorado State Penitentiary in Canon City.

Please join us for a viewing of a film about the Colorado State Penitentiary in Canon City. Built in 1868 as Colorado’s first prison, this historic compound has had a turbulent history of rebellions, riots and escapes. It has been home to such infamous local criminals as Alferd Packer and 11 year old murderer, Anton Woode. Take a step through history as you watch this interesting film from Rocky Mountain PBS.
