Raptors over the Rock

Tuesday, July 17, 2018

Join Nature’s Educators for a this popular one-hour presentation featuring the birds that share our home. Learn about the characteristics that define raptors, including where they live and how they hunt. Arrive early for picnicking and activities then stick around for the chance to meet some of these live raptors up close and personal after the presentation.

This is a free family-friendly program presented by the Town in partnership with Douglas Land Conservancy. Donations are appreciated to help further the program!

Presented by Douglas Land Conservancy and the Town of Castle Rock, join Nature’s Educators as we dive into the characteristics that define raptors. Discover the various types of raptors that live all over the world. Find out what they eat, how they hunt, and where they live.

Then meet four ambassadors that represent the raptors in our area and hear about their personal stories. Followed by meet and greet where kids and parents can get up close to the ambassadors, ask questions and take pictures.

The Critter Crate from Colorado Parks & Wildlife will also be available starting at 5:30 p.m. This interactive crate contains bird nests, eggs, puppets, talons, tracks, birds of prey chart, coloring pages and bird books.
