American Hiking Society's National Trails Day
Be among the first to blaze the trails at Rueter-Hess Reservoir. Join us for National Trails Day and help celebrate the outdoor spirit that truly highlights Colorado living.
The nationwide event will take place Saturday, June 3. Join the local celebration from 9 a.m. to noon at the reservoir. Guided hikes will take place every 30 minutes. Additionally, there will be one family-friendly shorter hike option at 10 a.m. for hikers with little ones. Come discover the uncharted natural environment.
There will be a fee of $5 per vehicle. However, preregistration will get participants an access pass to drive right in to the site the day of the event. Day-of registrants will have to wait in a separate line. Preregister online today.
The American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day is a nationally recognized trail awareness program that occurs annually on the first Saturday in June. The program is intended to inspire the public to discover, learn about and celebrate trails.

Location:The reservoir is located north of Castle Rock on Hess Road about 1 mile east of I-25 and the Castle Pines Parkway exit.
