Teens, make a difference in your community and have your voice heard! The Town is recruiting teens to play an active role in planning and carrying out Parks and Recreation activities for the community’s youth.
Purpose and function
The Recreation Department has established a group of teens in grades seventh through 12th to assist with the general planning, preparation and organizing of events and activities in both the Youth Division and Town. Youth in this group act as the voice for teens in Castle Rock by expressing their opinions and ideas. The group also acts as a liaison with Town Council to make sure teen voices heard in Town decisions. Students help with Town events, like Spooktacular, Daddy Daughter Ball, Climb4Change and more.
The Teen Advisory Group meets bi-monthly as a group. However, times, dates and locations are subject to change. Meetings are held at the Recreation Center "Lodge" in the lower parking lot by the blue slides. Students must be Town of Castle Rock residents.
Contact us for current meeting information.
Applications are due by Friday, Sept. 27.
The first official meeting for this school year will be Thursday, Oct. 3 from 6:30-8 p.m. The first event will be Spooktacular on Saturday, Oct. 26.
