Please remember to practice social distancing and maintain a distance of at least 6 feet. Additionally, local health officials recommend wearing a face covering while in public. The intent remains to limit interactions to only those within your own household. Good hygiene - like not touching your face, and washing your hands well, and often - also remains important.

The Town boasts 50 developed parks; more than 6,000 acres of open space (roughly half of which is owned by the Town) and 87 miles of trails; an award winning 18-hole golf course, Red Hawk Ridge, that is Audubon Sanctuary Certified; indoor and outdoor pools and splash pads; and an 84,000-square-foot Recreation Center and the new 60,000-square-foot Miller Activity Complex at Philip S. Miller Park, featured in Parks & Rec Business Magazine

Philip S. Miller Park features the 200-step Challenge Hill. On average, more than 30,000 fitness and trail enthusiasts alike flock to the timber steps that rise 178 feet in elevation every month. The Millhouse and Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park are the perfect backdrop for celebrating life's moments and hosting corporate retreats.

The park also features
Castle Rock Zip Line Tours as part of a public-private partnership. Residents and tourists alike enjoy 10 zip lines, the Epic Sky Trek and the Epic Adventure Tower. Standing 70-feet tall, the tower allows users to scale a 40-foot climbing wall, zip and jump from a 40-foot platform or choose to free fall from a 70-foot platform, while protected by state-of-the-art auto belay devices. The Epic Sky Trek, an aerial trekking course with three levels, features over 110 challenging obstacle elements. 2017 saw 25,000 thrill-seeking visitors, and more than 500 residents and local businesses hosted team-building activities.

The wait is over - the re-imagined Festival Park in the heart of downtown Castle Rock is now open! This central gathering place has been transformed into a vibrant urban park and will host the community's most treasured events.

The Parks and Recreation Department is a proud member of the Rueter-Hess Recreation Authority. This partnership is working to bring programmed and self-directed recreational opportunities to the Rueter-Hess Reservoir
